Meet the Road Crew- Buster Pogačar
Each of our Frenchies is special in their own way, but just like Phoebe, our love runs deep for this big guy - Buster . He was our first Frenchie, and because of him, we eventually added a second. His sensitive personality and the way he shows affection made us realize just how much room we had in our lives for another dog. We can't imagine our adventures without him. Say hello to Buster Pogačar , or as we sometimes call him, Buggie . What can I say... he's a handsome guy. We

Meet the Road Crew- Phoebe Bleu
I thought from the beginning of my blogging journey that writing about our pups was going to be one of the easiest things to do. It turns out, it's actually one of the hardest. Trying to describe the love we have for our dogs is nearly impossible, but I'll do my best. And maybe, just maybe, by the end of this blog post, you'll feel like you know our pups a little better too. Say hello to Phoebe Bleu , or as we sometimes call her, Peanut . What can I say...she's adorable.

Unexpected Detours- Barker Hole, MO
There are times when we are out on the road and the truck is quiet. It isn't an uncomfortable silence filling the air, but an easy confidence that we are in the right place at just the right time. Tranquil Retreat at Northern Lights Aurora
Looking for an Airbnb retreat to host our annual girls' winter getaway weekend is often a challenge that comes with many questions and late-night texts. Where should we go? What activities are available nearby? Is there enough space for everyone? And, of course, can I bring the dogs? This year's dilemma was much the same; however, after much back and forth, we finally decided on western Wisconsin for our destination. I know, I know. Wisconsin in the winter is risky. Cold temp

One Slow Afternoon at HASKINS FORD- Isabella, MO
Missouri summer days can be hot. No—scratch that. Missouri summer days can be unbearably hot. When we visit family down south, it is not in our nature to just stay inside next to the air conditioning. Instead, we look for open spaces, water, and places to cool off, and there is no better place to do this than one of our favorite spots, Haskins Ford. This area, along an upper arm of Bull Shoals Lake, is perfect for a quick stop or a full day of fishing and exploring. On most

A Dog-Friendly Basecamp Near Haskins Ford, MO
Theodosia, MO This small town, with approximately 200 people and located just a few minutes southwest of Haskins Ford, provides everything you need for a quick stop to grab essentials or a longer stay to explore the area. There are two gas stations, a grocery store, and a Dollar General, and prices here are about the same as in a larger town without a longer drive. We have found everyone to be exceptionally friendly and willing to answer questions about the area and the lake
